Doctoral Students Attend Orientation, Encouraged to Achieve Their Vision

October 01, 2015

Zinzendorf School of Doctoral Studies held its orientation Tuesday for the new academic year at Olivet University’s San Francisco campus.

Dr. Donald Tinder, dean of ZSDS, addressed students — who came from different countries such as China, South Korea and the United States — with a brief introduction of the program and the school.

He emphasized the requirements of the program for graduation. Students are expected to attend several colloquiums and seminars to complete the program. "I am glad to see many of you here and your coming to the session today proved your sincere interest," said Dr. Tinder.

He also encouraged students to have a vision and dream before they devote themselves to the works of God. "I believe the D. Min program will help you achieve your vision and dream more efficiently in ministries."

Dr. Stacey Kim, administrator of ZSDS, presented the achievements of the school in recent years and revealed the plans for the coming year. "Thank you all for your hard work; I am praying for a greater way to serve students and their ministries," said Kim.

Mark Li, director of Olivet University’s International Student Office summed up the session with useful guidance for international students who enrolled in the program. Faculty and staff members also answered students’ questions.

All students are expected to meet again in November for a colloquium at Olivet's Riverside campus.
