Some 50 Olivet University students have signed up for guitar performance classes that are being offered by Jubilee College of Music.
The classes are open to all students at OU’s Riverside campus through JCM’s music enrichment program called Fly Jubilee.
Already several weeks in, the guitar classes are being taught by Jerry Park, a JCM Master’s student.
“It has been two weeks of studying and now some students are showing greater improvement,” Park said. “I hope every student here can enjoy music and become real musicians in their church worship.”
The class meets four times a week and so far, students have been practicing basic techniques. The Fly Jubilee program in Riverside is also offering piano lessons to all OU students.
