Students Conclude Fall Quarter with a Night of Holiday Performances

December 21, 2017

Concluding the Fall Quarter, Olivet students held it's quarterly ESL Night event with vibrant performances at the University's Riverside campus. Participants gave heartwarming performances including a talent show of singing, skits, a magic show, and poems. At the end of the event, students shared testimonials with joy and tears.

"Amen! This was my first time to do a holiday skit. I really give thanks to God and all our team members' support. Furthermore, I also experienced the strong power of Holy Spirit that has guided us to do the whole skit smoothly following what He wanted us to say and act. Praise the Lord," said Agnes Sun, an undergraduate student.

"Thanks for the work of the Holy Spirit. I received so much grace in this event! Every group's performance surprised me a lot! I can feel the skit was fully led by God. I also believe that God already used us to convey His grace to every single person who attended. And you guys are so amazing! Thank you," shared ESL student Shawn Pang.

The audience was also touched through the performances. Students aren’t done yet as they are preparing for the school’s annual Christmas show.

Thanksgiving Break (office closed)A Psalm of praise. Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. (Psalm 100, KJV)
