The Anza community gathered in faith and song for the quarterly “Prayer and Praise in the Park” event, held at Minor Park in Anza, California. The evening brought together local churches and worship teams for a time of praise, prayer, and fellowship under the open sky.
The event was co-hosted by local pastors Kevin Watson, Jon Runnfeldt, Mark Neer, and Olivet University, featuring musical performances from several Anza community churches. Worship teams from Living Hope Christian Fellowship, Anza Valley Christian Fellowship, and Olivet University led the congregation in heartfelt praise and worship, filling the park with songs of hope and gratitude.
Each participating pastor introduced their worship teams with Scripture and words of encouragement before they took the stage to guide the audience in worship. Among the highlights of the evening was a spirited performance by Olivet University student Doson Kim, who led a team of students in a set of contemporary worship songs.
Olivet University faculty member and pianist Jade Park also offered a moving solo performance of “Moment by Moment,” inspiring the audience with her musical talent and devotion.
As the final outdoor gathering of the year, the united Prayer and Praise event served as a reminder of the strength of faith and community in Anza. Organizers hope to continue the gatherings indoors during the colder months. Olivet University expressed gratitude for the opportunity to partner with local churches in worship and community service, reaffirming its commitment to supporting the spiritual life of the wider Anza community.
