Christian Apologetics Course Offers Dose of Defense and Arguments

April 30, 2015

Olivet Theological College and Seminary (OTCS) offered Christian Apologetics for the Spring quarter and introduced Dr. Mark Hanna as the instructor for the course, whom previously taught Christian Ethics.

Students received an overall view on various philosophical and theological thoughts and topics as well as their influences and challenges to Biblical Christianity. Dr. Hanna lectured on other areas such as philosophical naturalism, moral relativism, historical skepticism, Darwinism, and Dualism.

"As a generation permeated with relativism and skepticism, we need to be prepared to answer the questions of doubters with patience. This class helps me obtain some basic skills and knowledge to defend my faith in face of doubters and critics," commented one student.

Olivet’s theology students look to this course as a firm grounding for preparation in defending and responding to today’s arguments on Christian faith. Dr. Hanna’s course examines the major questions about faith circulating in today’s culture.

Dr. Hanna received his B.A. in Philosophy (Beirut), M.A. in Religious Studies (USC), M.A. in Philosophy (USC), and Ph.D. in Philosophy (USC). He has served as a professor at USC and Talbot Seminary of Biola University. He authored several books, including "The True Path: Seven Muslims Make Their Greatest Discovery", "Crucial Questions in Apologetics", and “Biblical Christianity: Truth or Delusion?"
