Dr. Jang Transitions to New Role at HBS, Dr. Wagner to Serve as President and Chancellor

June 01, 2012

As of May 31, Dr. David Jang, who served as chancellor and professor of systematic theology, transitioned to a new role at the Holy Bible Society (HBS). The organization’s purpose is to strengthen Christian missions in key areas of Bible engagement and education.

University President Dr. William Wagner will now also serve as chancellor.

HBS works to improve Bible engagement and literacy worldwide, especially through digital Bibles and the internet. It is hoped that HBS can increase Bible access for unreached people groups and persecuted Christians.

Olivet is blessed to be under the great leadership of Dr. Wagner to continue the work of training young men and women to preach the Gospel and plant churches across the world.

Thanksgiving Break (office closed)A Psalm of praise. Make a joyful noise unto the LORD, all ye lands. Serve the LORD with gladness: come before his presence with singing. Know ye that the LORD he is God: it is he that hath made us, and not we ourselves; we are his people, and the sheep of his pasture. Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name. For the LORD is good; his mercy is everlasting; and his truth endureth to all generations. (Psalm 100, KJV)
