ZSDS Annual Doctoral Colloquium Plans for Online/In-Person Hybrid Format

October 02, 2020

The 2020 Doctoral Colloquium for the Zinzendorf School of Doctoral Studies (ZSDS) will be held remotely in a hybrid format. Approximately 60 Ph.D. and D.Min. students from all over the globe will attend the event online from October 19-23, 2020 as well as April 12-16, 2021.

The doctoral colloquium aims to equip students with theological knowledge and skills needed in their ministry or field of study. Distance learning element is especially emphasized this time due to public health concerns related to the COVID-19.

During the colloquium, D.Min. students will have an opportunity to listen to the lectures from renowned professors on various topics such as global theological foundations, global missiology, a spiritual autobiography, and the like.

Ph.D. students will attend their seminars via livestream with distinguished faculty on topics such as global theological explorations and understanding the books of Psalm in the light of their theological messages. Ph.D. students also have a chance to make presentations on these topics.

Besides the lectures, second-year D.Min. students will meet with their mentors and ministry track leaders via livestream video conferences to discuss their potential dissertation topics.

Through various activities online and in-person, the colloquium participants could expect a quality and relationship-driven education at ZSDS.
