Students Collaborate with Design Center In Preparations for Upcoming Graduation Ceremony

May 04, 2022

Olivet University's Commencement Ceremony 2022 is scheduled to be held on Friday, June 24 at Riverside main campus. In preparation for the event, Olivet School of Art and Design (OSAD) faculty and students are collaborating with the University's Design Center in preparing designs for the stage, venue decoration, and memorabilia.

"The annual event will bring together friends and families of Olivet students across the United States and around the world. We wish to welcome them with the best visual experiences. The creative process puts me into a practical perspective that the product should be both functional and aesthetically pleasing," said Dr. Rodem Hwang, Director of the University's Design Center.

The stage banners, street pole banners, floral arrangements, invitation cards and souvenirs are all part of the design project. It requires careful consideration of the logistics in order to have everything in place for the event. Under the leadership of the University's Design Center, students are learning important lessons on project management and design quality.

The team will continue to prepare for the event with a prayerful heart that the ceremony will become a time to testify God's glory and faithfulness.
